Web Publishing using HTTP PUT
Besides specifying the well-known GET and POST methods familiar to CGI programmers on the World Wide Web, the HTTP specification also describes the lesser-known PUT method, useful for uploading files to the web server from PUT-capable HTML editors such as Netscape Navigator Gold, Amaya, or AOLpress. When used properly, the HTTP PUT method provides a useful alternative to FTP uploading or third-party server extensions (i.e. Microsoft FrontPage). The HTTP PUT method is easily integrated into the iServer Virtual Server web service by means of a special CGI program.

Installation and Configuration
You will need to download the iServer White Paper, "Web Publishing using HTTP PUT" from the White Papers section of the Reseller Backroom. This iServer authored White Paper discusses the changes that must be made to the web server configuration files in order to use the HTTP PUT method. A detailed explanation describing how to implement the HTTP PUT method for multiple users is also presented. This explanation may be especially useful to you if you are taking advantage of the Virtual Hosting capabilities of your Virtual Server.
